Breaking Through the Illusion of Sunday-Only Christianity
2 Corinthians 2:14-17
Paul knew where the power came from to do his ministry. That term “triumphal procession” pictures a victory parade awarded a Roman General, in which enemy prisoners were forced to march. Paul had broken through and had victory. All the breakthroughs that Paul experienced were at the hand of Christ.
The greatest evangelist in all of history relied totally on Christ. His ministry was a sweet aroma to God. Relying on Christ is how breakthroughs happen, and relying on Christ doesn’t happen when we see our faith as a Sunday morning activity.
Breakthrough - Faith Beyond Sunday
Ridgewood Church will be breaking through in order to find new life outside of “just” attending church on Sunday. We desire that each person at Ridgewood finds new life wherever he/she lives out normal life experiences.
Key Passage: Psalm 107:13-16
Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He brought them out of darkness, the utter darkness, and broke away their chains. Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he breaks down gates of bronze and cuts through bars of iron.
