THEME:
Tuesday is election day. You can honor God, by doing more than voting. You can pray. There is a reward for committing to pray for your leaders, and there are consequences for neglecting to do so. When you overlook the importance of praying for those whom God has placed over you I fear you may encounter, what I call, the peril of unprayed prayers.
KEY SCRIPTURE:
1 Timothy 2:1-4
1 Timothy 2:1-4
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Scripture commands you to pray for the salvation of everyone
1 Timothy 2:2b

2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
Your prayers will lead to contentment, which will become evident to others

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
