Ridgewood Preschool

Laurie is beyond excited about welcoming littles and their families to Ridgewood Preschool and sharing the love of Jesus with them! Laurie graduated with a degree in Elementary Education and later continued her education at Northeastern University in gifted education. Laurie and her husband, David live in Minnetonka with their two children, Matthew and Madeleine. She loves working at Ridgewood Church as the Kid’s Ministry Director and looks forward to all God has in store for the preschool!

Tammy is our Ridgewood Preschool Director and absolutely loves working with young children and their families. Ridgewood Preschool has been an extra joy and blessing to Tammy. She appreciates the beautiful God-centered, joy-filled, and happy environment where children play, learn, create, and share friendships. Ms. Tammy received her BA in Child Development from San Jose State University. She has been in the field of early childhood for over 15 years. Tammy and her husband Brian have a married daughter and a son in college.

Christina is our Preschool Coordinator at Ridgewood Preschool.  She studied physics and chemistry at Modesto Junior College, but after her younger daughter was diagnosed with T1D, she realized that God was calling her to caring for her family over continuing her education. But she still loves to learn and challenge her mind. Ridgewood Preschool offers her a place to stretch and grow her love for families and Jesus and offer clerical and administrative services to the wonderful teachers and staff. Christina lives in Eden Prairie with her husband, two daughters, and two cats.

Jackie is one of our beloved teachers at Ridgewood Preschool. She has a degree in Psychology from Michigan State University. Jackie has worked as a volunteer in children’s ministry for over 20 years.

God has blessed Jackie with the desire, abilities, and opportunities to foster the developmental and spiritual growth of young children. Jackie’s love of children is evident.  Children gravitate towards Jackie and appreciate her care and warmth.

Jackie and her husband Brian have four grown daughters. As a family, they enjoy doing crafts, taking walks and playing games together.

Sara is a teacher at Ridgewood Preschool. She graduated from Bethel University with a bachelor’s degree in K-8 Elementary Education. She went on to teach upper elementary for twelve years before deciding to stay home for a couple years with her children. She is very happy to be teaching again and thanks God she gets to experience the joy and wonder of a Christ-centered preschool. Sara and her husband, Jim, have two children.

Chris is a teacher at Ridgewood Preschool.  She loves learning, laughing, and sharing the love of Jesus with the children. Chris graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the College of St. Benedict.  She went on to earn a certificate in lay ministry at the University of St. Thomas.  She’s walked in faith with children ages 3-16 years old at her church for the past 30 years.  Chris and her husband, Russ, have two college-aged children. She’s beyond grateful for the joy and blessings experienced each day at preschool!

We are delighted to have Isabel as an assistant teacher here at Ridgewood Preschool. She came here from Arkansas and is an experienced assistant teacher who has worked with children since she was 14, including babysitting, volunteering as a Sunday School teacher, and teaching at Head Start. She is currently working towards her CDA in Preschool and Early Childhood Development and is looking forward to learning more in the early childhood field.

She loves children and their creativity, enthusiasm and joy for learning and for connecting with each other, and is excited to work at a preschool that is Christ-centered and focused intentionally on the kids and their social, emotional, and spiritual development.

Mary is an Assistant Teacher at Ridgewood Preschool. Mary has always had a heart for working with children. She began babysitting at age 15 and has spent many Sundays serving in the children’s ministry at her church. In 2025, she married her husband, Xander, and made the decision to leave her corporate career to pursue her true passion for working with young children. Her love of learning and desire to nurture children in a faith-filled environment led her to join the Ridgewood Preschool team. Mary is currently working toward earning her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential in Preschool Education. She is excited to continue growing as an educator and looks forward to learning as much as she can while supporting the children and families at Ridgewood Preschool.

Hana is part of our team as a substitute teacher at Ridgewood Preschool. She also teaches at the Ridgewood Church camps in the summer.  She is  married to Matt, who is a church planter and pastor. They have one son, three daughters and an English yellow lab named, Knox.

Hana loves children and the enthusiasm and openness of kids. She adores the way they freely run, play, and learn to make new friends. Hana is inspired by their bravery as they step into the world and try new things.  In addition to being a substitute teacher, Hana  teaches group fitness classes at Williston Fitness Center, the Marsh, and leads a women’s Bible study. She loves playing tennis and making new friends. Hana earned a BS in Social Studies from St. Cloud State University.
