It’s difficult to remember life without smartphones. The digital age is here, and there is no going back. Each of us must decide how we will spend our time and what we will focus on. In today’s text, the Apostle Paul encourages us to turn our attention to the things of God and set our focus on higher things.

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

John 1:1-5

You can shift your focus because the old “you” died when you were saved
Colossians 3:4
When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
Revelation 22:3-5
No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.
Set your heart on higher things by pursuing God over earthly ambitions

Ephesians 4:22-24
…put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
