What you’re devoted to goes a long way toward determining the future of this church. For better… or for worse. I want to ask you a question that will take courage to answer: Are you devoted to your preferences? Or to the mission of Jesus? Because if we are truly reconciled by grace—then we must live out that grace. We must go ALL IN and help Ridgewood Church experience a bright and impactful future.

The saying is trustworthy, and I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed in God may be careful to devote themselves to good works. These things are excellent and profitable for people. But avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, dissensions, and quarrels about the law, for they are unprofitable and worthless. As for a person who stirs up division, after warning him once and then twice, have nothing more to do with him, knowing that such a person is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned. And let our people learn to devote themselves to good works, so as to help cases of urgent need, and not be unfruitful.

Devote yourself to God’s mission so the world can clearly see who you belong to

Devotion to Christ can be easily derailed when we lose focus on what truly matters

Titus 3:9

But avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, dissensions, and quarrels about the law, for they are unprofitable and worthless.

Titus 3:10-11

As for a person who stirs up division, after warning him once and then twice, have nothing more to do with him, knowing that such a person is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned.

If you choose to cause division, you are putting your spiritual life in jeopardy

Matthew 18:15-17

If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every charge may be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.

Titus 3:14

And let our people learn to devote themselves to good works, so as to help cases of urgent need, and not be unfruitful.

Avoiding divisiveness leads to good works and good works lead to a meaningful life
