Ridgewood Kids

Ridgewood Kids Sunday Mornings

Sunday morning Kids programming takes place every Sunday during the 10am service for children birth – grade 4.

If this is your first time attending Ridgewood with kids, swing by the Kids welcome desk when you arrive. The kids welcome desk is located on the south entrance of the church. There will be a friendly face to greet you, help you register your child and walk you and your child to their room to meet their leaders. Each parent will receive a pick-up tag that matches the child’s nametag for a safe and meaningful experience.

Once you know the drill, parents can register in advance for faster check-in.

We look forward to seeing you on Sunday mornings!

What's Happening in Kid's Ministry

Child Dedication

At Ridgewood Church we value children. Periodically we dedicate children to the Lord at a Sunday service. It’s a wonderful way for parents, family and our church community to make a public commitment to help raise up a child to know and trust our Lord, Jesus Christ.

The next Child Dedication is Sunday, May 10 at the 10am service. Registration is open!

Sign Up for AWANA

Awana Clubs for preschool & elementary children meet on Wednesdays from 4:30-6pm at Ridgewood.

The program is all about youth discipleship. Our goal is to develop a Biblical foundation and teach kids to live a life of wisdom and grace. Learn more and/or register for Awana by clicking the button below.

At 6pm we offer low-cost Family Dinners for kids and parents. Check out the next family dinner on the events page.

Family Dinners

Each Wednesday night during the school year, Ridgewood serves up a low-cost family dinner from 6-6:30pm. This is right after Awana (preschool-grade 4) and Root 56 (students grades 5-6) and right before Ridgewood Student Ministry begins at 6:30pm.

This is a great way to give mom and dad the night off from cooking up a meal! There are a varitey dinners which range from Tacos, Chicken, Build-Your-Own Sandwich, Pizza to Breakfast for Dinner. The cost is $7 per person and $5 for children ages 3-grade 4. Check out the next family dinner on the events page and register in advance.

No need to register, just come with the kids. It’s a great way to meet other Ridgewood families, to have fun with old friends and make some new ones! Everyone is welcome.

Children's Choir

The Ridgewood Church Children’s Choir is designed for children 4 years of age through grade 4. The children’s choir is a place where kids learn to love God’s Word and help lead others in worship. It’s also a wonderful way for children to grow in their relationship with God and each other!

The Ridgewood Church Children’s Choir practices on Sunday mornings from 9 – 9:45am in the BIG Blue room from September 7 through May 17.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) 2026

Come join us at Ridgewood Church’s Rainforest Falls VBS on July 13 – July 17 from 9:30am-noon!

Step through the mist into Rainforest Falls, overflowing with wild waterfalls, towering trees, and colorful creatures. Beneath a canopy of chattering birds and howling monkeys, kids plunge into a lifelong adventure of discovering the nature of God. They’ll explore what it means to be rooted in relationship with God, their creator, a safe place in life’s storms

Registration is open to kids ages 3 (must be potty trained) through grade 4, completed!

Registration will close at 11:59pm on Monday, June 29 so don’t delay and register now. If you missed the registration deadline, please contact Laurie Stay at Lstay@myrwc.org

God Did Amazing Things During the Summer of 2025 in Our Kid's Ministry

More About the Kids Ministry:

  • We’re here to partner up with parents as they seek to teach their kids to make faith their own.
  • We help to equip kids and families to make Jesus known through community impact!

HOW do we do that?

  • By recognizing moms & dads as their kids’ FIRST and BEST teachers!
  • By supporting parents through faithful prayer, solid Biblical teaching, meaningful Community Groups, and rich resources that help them to become their own kids’ spiritual super-heroes!
  • By connecting church to home – the BEST place for faith to grow!
  • By acknowledging that kids are true gifts from God!
  • By helping kids to discover WHO they are and WHOSE they are in Christ!

WHAT is our desired outcome?

  • Kids and families connecting with Christ, with one another, and with the world around them!
