Reaching the World for Christ

As we anticipate the second coming of Jesus, many in the world haven’t heard of his first coming. So together we are asking God for a gospel movement among every people group—in our generation.

Ridgewood Church has a rich history of supporting missions and church plants around the world. We desire for all people who have never heard the name of Jesus to hear and accept the good news.

Randy & Debbie Torpen: Common Ground

Our mission is to train and equip laborers to more loving and effectively communicate Jesus and His Kingdom to and among the least-reached frontier peoples, especially Muslims. We do this with personal ministry among least reached peoples, by mentoring  laborers working among these peoples and by intensive trainings in the US and abroad.

Ryan & Andrea Horazdovsky: Tenwek Mission Hospital

Dr. Ryan Horazdovsky and his wife, Andrea and their four wonderful children headed for Nairobi, Africa in the summer of 2023. Ryan is an orthopedic surgeon helping to heal patients from all sorts of injuries at the Tenwek Mission Hospital in Kenya. It’s home to a Pan African Academy of Christian Surgeons (PAACS) Orthopedic Residency Training Program. The morning for Dr. Ryan starts with prayer, rounds, didactics and then surgery (theatre) or clinic. In the afternoons they take Swahili lessons.

Every day is an adventure for the kids with Andrea home schooling at the Tenwek compound, shopping at the local market, playtime and visits to the hospital. Who knows, there may be a zebra or elephant sighting along the way!

The Timothy Initiative

Did you know that there are still more than 3 billion people in the world who have never heard of Jesus?

Togo, Africa is the birthplace of voodoo. Lome is the capital city of Togo. It’s a large port city with a history of selling and shipping thousands of African slaves overseas. Witch doctors and voodoo practices are still prominent in the cities and villages of Togo.

The Timothy Initiative (TTI) and Ridgewood are working to spread the gospel of Jesus by planting churches in Togo to tell people what God has done for them.

Toni & Vesna Georgiev: Faith & Learning International

Toni Georgiev can be found in the center of this image which is where he is comfortable speaking and teaching about Jesus in North Macedonia.

Toni and his wife, Vesna live in Strumica, a town of about 45.000 people. Their town is surrounded with 72 villages where spiritual blindness is almost 100%. Very few people know the name Jesus and His salvation! Toni’s vision is to enter in every village to plant home Bible study groups that will become churches. To accomplish that vision Toni is in the process of developing strong disciples who will join the church planting team.
