Marriage Connect Group
April 19 – May 17, 2026

Our mission in Women's Ministry is to walk alongside ladies as they grow in a genuine, life-giving relationship with Jesus. Through meaningful connections, intentional gatherings, leadership development, connect groups, and trusted counsel, women are encouraged and equipped to follow Christ wholeheartedly. And no matter where you are in your journey, we’ve saved you a seat as we grow together
and point others to Him.
This world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come. Therefore, let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to his name. And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God . . . . Now may the God of peace – who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood – may he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him.
-Hebrews 13:14-16, 20-21 NLT
Whether you feel called to walk alongside another woman as a mentor or you’re seeking a mentor to walk with you, our women’s mentoring ministry is a place to grow together in faith, wisdom, and community. Mentoring is a Christ-centered relationship rooted in prayer, encouragement, and honest conversation, where women support one another through life’s seasons while pointing each other toward God’s truth. No matter your age or stage of life, if you have a heart to learn, listen, and grow, we invite you to take this next step and be part of a meaningful journey of connection and spiritual growth.
This is an opportunity to invest in another woman’s life through prayer, encouragement, and shared faith. Mentors don’t need to have all the answers—just a willing heart, a listening ear, and a desire to walk alongside someone as God works in both of your lives.
This is a safe and supportive space to grow in your faith, gain wisdom, and navigate life’s challenges with guidance from a more experienced sister in Christ. Receiving mentorship is about learning, asking questions, and being encouraged as you take steps forward in your spiritual journey.
This spring Ridgewood Women's Ministry is offering book clubs to get you connected with other women and deepen your walk with God. Each book selected has content with a different focus to draw you closer to Jesus and others. These clubs are designed to meet once a week or every other week and will connect women inside and outside of Ridgewood. The clubs may meet in homes, coffee shops or in libraries. Check out the 2026 book club offerings below and reach out to the club leader to get connected and join the group. We've save you a seat!
If you're interested in starting a book club, we have some additional books we'd suggest. Contact Wendi Johnson at wjohnson@myrwc.org.
WELL WATERED WOMAN by Gretchen Saffles
Gretchen Saffles knows what it’s like to feel overwhelmed and unable to flourish. In The Well-Watered Woman, Gretchen leads us to: The Well of fullness – where the gospel is planted in our lives and our roots take hold in the truth. The Word of freedom – our journey of growing, changing, and being transformed into Jesus’ likeness. The Way of fruitfulness – how obedience and love keeps us flourishing in Christ.
She teaches that God’s Word will satisfy us for all eternity. Using Scripture and her own personal story of surrender, Gretchen offers spiritually hungry women tangible tools and encouragement to not only know Jesus more but to live a life that thoroughly enjoys Him, seeks Him, and follows Him into freedom.

FORGIVING WHAT YOU CAN’T FORGET by Lysa Terkeurst
Have you ever felt stuck in a cycle of unresolved pain, playing offenses over and over in your mind? You know you can’t go on like this, but you don’t know what to do next. Lysa TerKeurst has wrestled through this journey. But in surprising ways, she’s discovered how to let go of bound-up resentment and overcome the resistance to forgiving people who aren’t willing to make things right.
In Forgiving What You Can’t Forget, Lysa’s deep empathy, therapeutic insight, and rich Bible teaching, coming out of more than 1,000 hours of theological study, will help you:
Learn how to move on when the other person refuses to change and never says they’re sorry.
Walk through a step-by-step process to free yourself from the hurt of your past and feel less offended today. Discover what the Bible really says about forgiveness and the peace that comes from living it out right now. Identify what’s stealing trust and vulnerability from your relationships so you can believe there is still good ahead. Disempower the triggers hijacking your emotions by embracing the two necessary parts of forgiveness.

We’re excited to share that we had a full house for the Vision Casting Event held on Tuesday, March 10! More than 40 women gathered to hear Wendi Johnson share the vision God has given for the Women of Ridgewood—to see themselves as shepherdesses who point others to Jesus.
Attendees had the opportunity to meet the Women’s Leadership Team and learn about upcoming opportunities for connection, including mentorship, book clubs, and simple ways to get involved and serve in areas that match their gifts.
If you weren’t able to attend, we’d love to hear from you! If you haven’t taken the survey yet, please click the button below to complete our 19-question anonymous survey. It takes about 8 minutes and will help us design women’s events that encourage a deeper connection with God and with one another.
